Booking & Cancellation Policy

At The Blowout Bar we aim to provide the ultimate experience with exceptional services, fashion forward techniques and the best haircare and styling products, in a relaxed and indulgent environment.

To ensure every client receives the best experience we can provide each and every time, and to safeguard the health of our small business, please be aware of our appointment policies.

Bookings

Our team are always excited to see you! To avoid disappointment, please book well in advance or make future bookings at the end of each service. We offer an SMS reminder service which is sent 24 hours prior to your appointment. On receipt of this text, we ask that you confirm “Y” for Yes or cancel with “N” for No. The Blowout Bar reserves the right to cancel any unconfirmed appointments.

Deposits

For us to keep your appointment time especially for you we require a deposit to be paid at the time of making the booking. The deposit amount is 50% for appointments on Monday to Saturday and 100% deposit for appointments on Sunday and Public Holidays. For bookings made online the deposit amount will be charged to your card when you make the booking. For bookings over the phone we will require your card details to secure the appointment.

We will not accept bookings without a deposit or card details. If your booking is secured with card details your card will be automatically charged in accordance with the required deposit in the event of a late cancellation or no show – see further details below.

Package Services

Our pre-paid packages are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. Please be mindful of the expiry date of your package as the option to extend the expiry date is not available.

A deposit is not required when making a booking using a package credit as you have already paid upfront. However, if you cancel within the final 24 hours of your appointment or no show to your appointment your package credit will be redeemed. 

Sunday & Public Holiday Services

Due to the increased cost of operating on Sundays and on Public Holidays we have a separate price list for services on those days. Please note that not all Blowout Bar services are available on Sundays and Public Holidays due to limited resources and time available on those days.

The deposit for services booked on Sundays and Public Holidays is 100% of the appointment price.

For bookings made online that have not selected the Sunday or Public Holiday services you will be contacted to alter your booking to the correct service and price. 

Late Arrivals

Please try and arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment. If you are running late please let us know. If you are more than 10 minutes late your appointment may be rescheduled for a later date or we will advise what is possible within the remaining time for your appointment. This is to guarantee both you, and the client following you, receive the exceptional service and focused care we believe you deserve, and the hair style you desire and will be proud to show off. Should a reschedule be required, whether it be the same day or another date, the deposit on your original appointment will be forfeited.

Selecting the wrong service

If you select the wrong service, such as a service for the wrong length of hair or duration, we will do everything we can to accommodate you. However, please keep in mind that we may have to reschedule your appointment or may not have the time to complete the service. Should this situation occur the deposit on your original appointment will be forfeited.

Cancellations

We run a very busy salon, so we always appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. At The Blowout Bar we have a minimum 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment within the final 24 hours of your booking then you will be charged 50% of your booking if on a Monday to Saturday or 100% of your booking if on a Sunday or Public Holiday, or forfeit your deposit, whichever the greater amount. Cancellations within 3 hours of your appointment time (‘same day cancellation’) will require full payment for the booking. If your booking has been secured with a saved card your card will be charged. 

No-shows

No shows really hurt our business and they also mean someone on our waitlist misses out. No show appointments will require full payment for the appointment. Any deposit paid will be forfeited and you will be charged for any balance owing. Any future pre-bookings may be cancelled if full payment for your no show appointment has not been made. If your booking has been secured with a saved card your card will be charged.  

Change of mind

When we accept your booking we reserve that time just for you. If you change your mind when you arrive for your appointment and no longer want part or all of the service you have booked for, full payment will still be required for the entire booking as it was originally made.

Payment terms

The Blowout Bar requires full payment on completion of your appointment. We accept cash, direct debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Parking

Please allow time for parking and be mindful of your parking time restrictions as The Blowout Bar cannot be responsible for any parking fines obtained whilst in the salon.
